Now that Series EV is out its time to updated the build. I also noticed a change when playing with three or four players, the extra ogres. This may have been the case before as only did solo and duo runs.

Lastly, feel free to post your own builds and I will add them below.

Warping Core Challenge Pack 1 NM HC 7.29c

http://ddplanner.com/?l=3398-3399,warping-core-challenge-pack-1-nm-hc#

Wave 1 - (Build) Place all proximity mines and gas traps.

Wave 1 (Combat) - Build the harpoons in the west and east areas and if you can evade spiders long enough the southern harpoons and bouncers.

Wave 2 (Build)- Place physical wall beam and the buff beam in the north and then reflection beams and shock beams in west or east. Place the northern harpoons with the furthest one back as far behind the node as possible, but still be in range to be buffed. There should be enough of a gap between the barrier and the harpoons that ogres can't reach them if placed correctly.

Wave 2 (Combat) - Finish building the rest of the harpoons and bouncers.

Wave 3 (Build) - Place the southern physical wall beams.

Upgrade the buff beam to star or 3 star and be mindful of the trap connected to it. Upgrade the southern harpoons to star or 3 star.

Warping Core Challenge Pack 2 NM HC 7.29c

http://ddplanner.com/?l=3401-3402,warping-core-challenge-pack-2-nm-hc#

Wave 1 (Build) - Start by placing all proximity mines and the and a physical beam.

Wave 1 (Combat) - Equip a genie and during the wave start laying down the bouncers and then harpoons.

Wave 2 (Build)- Place the buff beam and west physical walls. Build the reflection beams and the north and south physical walls time permitting. I

Wave 2 (Combat) - Finishing building harpoons and bouncers.

Wave 3 (Build) - Build the rest of the physical walls and the shock beams.

Notes:

Make sure you upgrade the buff beam to three star. I usually upgrade the harpoons in the far west to three star, all physical beam walls to 2 or 3 chevron, bouncers covering the north and south to star or three star, traps to 2 chevron.

You can also use proton beams instead of shock beams.

When there are at least 3 players an extra ogre spawns from the south entrance. The harpoon facing the courtyard will speed up the process of taking it down. If the ogre goes to the right bouncer aggro it to the left to be in range of the harpoon.

Warping Core Challenge Pack 3 NM HC 7.29c

http://ddplanner.com/?l=3393-3394,warping-core-challenge-pack-3-nm-hc#

Wave 1 (Build) - Place all proximity mines and the eastern harpoons.

Wave 1 (Combat) - Place as many defenses as you can.

Wave 2 (Build)- Place physical wall beams and the reflection beam in the west and east. Place the north or south shock beam and reflection wall.

Wave 2 (Combat)-Finish placing the rest of the squire defenses.

Wave 3 (Build) - Place the northern and southern physical walls, reflect beam, and shock beams. Note: you may have to sell the harpoon first to set the 2 du shock beam and then rebuild the harpoon on top of the shock beam.

Note: Ogre comes from the north and south when there are three or four players so its a good idea to upgrade the northern harpoon and the physical wall in the corridor if not playing solo or duo.

Warping Core Challenge Pack 4 NM HC 7.29c

http://ddplanner.com/?l=3396-3397,warping-core-challenge-pack-4-nm-hc#

Wave 1 (Build) - Place all proximity mines and the harpoon in the northeast corridor. Place the harpoons and a bouncer in the northwest corridor.

Wave 1 (Combat)- Place the bouncer in the lower northwest corridor. Try and build the two harpoons and bouncers in the west and east staircase corridor. Place as many other defenses as you can but be at the forge when the wave ends.

Wave 2 (Build) - Place the physical beam walls and buff beams starting with the southern pair. Place the reflection beam in the west as you go north. You should have time to place all the physical wall beams, the two buff beams in the south, and the buff beam in the northwest.

Wave 2 (Combat)- Finish placing all the rest of the defenses. Upgrade buff beams first and foremost to three star.

Wave 3 - (Build)- Build the buff beam in the northeast and the reflection beam in the eastern staircase if not already there and the two shock beams.

Notes: Ogres should go down fairly quickly with 3 star buff beams so barriers shouldn't take much, if any, damage. Be mindful of the southern traps as they are connected to the buff beams.Upgrade them to increase the charge count if needed.

Old build. Still seems to be viable for solo/duo runs.

Warping Core 1
http://html5.cubicleninja.com/dd/index.htm?layout=28309

Wave 1 - (Build) Start by placing all proximity mines and the two magic barricades in the south.

Wave 1 (Combat) - Equip a genie and during the wave start laying down the bouncers and then harpoons.

Wave 2 (Build)- Place the three magic barricades in the north and the two harpoons, if they aren't already there. (Note that the harpoons can't shoot through the crystal so you want to position them close to the statues.) Finish building the rest.

I usually upgrade the barricades to 3 chevron and the harpoons in the north and south to 3 chevron or star level. Proximity mines I upgrade to 2 chevron. I equip a Huntress guardian for the final two or three waves to deal with ogres.

Warping Core 2
http://html5.cubicleninja.com/dd/index.htm?layout=25575

Wave 1 (Build) - Place all proximity mines and a barricade

Wave 1 (Combat) - Equip a genie and put up the rest of the bouncers. Make sure to put the bouncers in the north and south closer to the inside of the entrance to give some buffer space for kobold blasts.

Wave 2 (Build)- Place the remain barricades. Be sure to angle them out from the inside corner. Place the harpoons.

Wave 2 (Combat)- Using the genie upgrade the top right barricades to 3 chevron or star and the bouncers at the top of the ramp in the east to star. Keep an eye out for wyverns that may make it past the east defenses and watch the barricades on the right as a lot of ogres will be coming out. I use a huntress guardian on wave 7 and 8.

Your main priority will be wyverns from the left. Ogres can and will bounce on and around the bouncers on the east ramps, but since the bouncers attack they will aggro the ogres so they will ignore the crystal even if it is on the ramp next to them.

I find that if the top right barricades to 3 chevron or star that I can leave the west, north, and south alone and focus on ogres and wyverns in the east. However, it doesn't hurt to boost the harpoon west for ogres if possible.

Warping Core 3
With Blockades: http://html5.cubicleninja.com/dd/index.htm?layout=25635
With Bouncers: http://html5.cubicleninja.com/dd/index.htm?layout=25681

Wave 1 (Build) - Build the front most bouncers and the two harpoons to the east.

Wave 1 (Combat) - Equip a genie and put in harpoons and back bouncers.

Wave 2 (Build)- Place the proximity mines. If you are using bouncers instead of magic blockades just remove a proximity mine from the far west and place the blockades at the top of the stairs.

Wave 2 (Combat)- Upgrade the front west bouncers and east bouncers.

Wave 3 (Build) - Finish placing any proximity mines or barricades needed.

I didn't have a problem with wyverns coming from the east at all. Last two waves I equipped a huntress guardian and buffed for ogres while dodging spiders.

Warping Core 4
http://html5.cubicleninja.com/dd/index.htm?layout=25696

Wave 1 (Build) - Place all proximity mines and a bouncer in the upper northwest corridor and northeast corridor.

Wave 1 (Combat)- Place the two harpoons in the northwest corridor and the bouncer and harpoon in the southwest. Place as many other defenses as you can but be at the forge when the wave ends.

Wave 2 (Build) - Place the blockades starting with the northwest pair. An adept with max run speed should be able to place all blockades and make it back to the forge with very little time to spare. If you use an apprentice place the two blockades at the top and one or two on bottom.

Wave 2 (Combat)- Finish placing all the rest of the defenses. Upgrade the barriers and harpoons in the northwest.

Wave 3 - (Build)- Build the rest of the blockades if you haven't.

Notes: The southeast blockades take most damage due to kobolds so upgrade them and keep them repaired. Be sure to upgrade the northwest blockades and harpoons and keep an eye on the harpoon just south of the two northwest ones.

The gas traps indicate place where the crystal can spawn that will be unguarded. You really want to keep an eye out for wyverns when there crystals are in these spots.

I was able to complete the map with no core damage when I left the build alone and didn't try to tweak things in game. There is some luck in hoping wyverns actually cross paths with your defenses.

Lastly, I use a genie until the last wave and then I switch to a huntress guardian to speed up ogre killing in the south.

Yeah EV walls and buff beams made them a lot more manageable with as much ground as you have to cover.

Just tested them with four players with newest patch and made some major adjustments to part 2 and 3. I've posted part 3 as I'm still tweaking part 2.

Always good stuff Zinn. I'm still farming with the old layouts you made.
Never could support more than two (with my stats :()
Time for updated videos?

Sure. Post the videos and I'll add them above.

I generally play solo or with a friend if they want to tag along. My friend hasn't played in a couple of weeks though. I've started hosting public games to stress test and fine tune the build to handle the four player load. Like always when playing with others you need to give them instructions on what to upgrade first, and in some cases to upgrade in general.

Zinn, the second pack has the same URL link as the first pack, so could you please check that out, and also, in its description it says : " Start by placing all proximity mines and the and a physical beam."
Just a heads up. Thanks for the builds though, just got a great Tower gloves with 100+ in all stats and 233^.

Updated the first three builds and tested with 4 players. I may make a separate layout for solo since you won't need the extra ogre defenses.
