Transcedent IceSword / FrostBlade

Hey guys, can anyone tell me where to get these things?
I´ve tried several maps the wiki says, never found any IceSword till now.

Im doing NM HC survival till wave 25+ at MistyMire Forest etc.


Once i played with some friends in Moraggo town, during one game till wave 14 i found around 10 godly to myth ice swords (bad statted ones), when i tried it again on the next day i couldn´t even finde 1 anymore for weeks.
Is there any Achievement you have to unlock to be able to find them in such maps? :/

I've seen a decent amount of myth Frost Blades in NM HC Halloween Spooktacular.

Try finishing the etherian holiday event. Probably dropped for you last time because one of your friends had done it.

Moraggo drops a lot of them.

Neither Moraggo or Misty dropped NONE in 20+ survival runs. There must be something that unlocks them and people suggest it's Holiday mission. At least I didn't finish it ever.

OP, a question, during your runs alone to "misty wave 25+" what active classes are you playing? Just making sure you know that weapons will only drop for active classes, did you have a squire/barb/countess active? If not, this is why you were not seeing them.

I run Misty/Morago on a fairly regular basis with an active squire in game and frost blades drop fairly often.

Trans frost blades drop in the jungle map in survival if you can get to the late waves but the map is hard and feels like its missing DU, I have never seen a trans frost blade in moraggo or misty but maybe just unlucky.

As for the myth frost blades they drop in misty rarely however morago and karathiki they drop very often.

You need to have finished the Etherian Holiday Extravaganza on any difficulty for these to drop for you on Misty. UMF, OMF etc.
If your friends had cleared it and were in your game, then they can drop.

If you solo and haven't done it, they won't.

Even on easy? Does this effect the quality of droppable iceswords or doesnt this matter than?

The best bet seems to be Karathiki Jungle survival (extremely high drop rate) however it is insanely difficult neigh impossible because of the wyverns somehow evading all defenses no matter what you do. Halloween Spooktacular drops them aswell but I had a hard time finding quality ones there, most of the decently sized ones were epic, legendary or powerful etc. Havnt had much luck finding good ones on Misty either since the drop rate seems so low compared to other weapons. Cant speak for Moraggo as I havnt done that one much.

Beat it on easy with my friend and he finally started seeing drops. Found a 235 upgrade with 80ish stats running campaign misty. So I don't think difficulty changes quality.

I managed to snag a 253^ Ice Sword with 1600 base damage (I think!)

I always find better ones when I'm half way upgrading another, hah!

OMF Hardcore seems to be the best place for me.

Found a trans icesword from Misty wave 28 I believe (hc mm of course).

Trans weapons are rare. A run to wave 30 on Misty maybe 2-4 trans weapons.

So you can get trans iceswords/frostblades I'd guess 25+ Misty 20+ Moraggo 20+ Jungle. Trans weapons seem to drop later then trans armor, but I'm not 100% sure on that. For me it's about 5 waves after trans armor starts appearing.

I doubt it. You don't need to own the DLC to unlock costumes, so this is most likely the same.

It should be noted that frost blades often "vanish" due to the item cap. Since their base damage is not as high as some of the other weapons (due to high attack rate/range) they get ousted really fast when the cap is reached. I've found plenty of them on Misty & Morrego, but I was roaming around when I saw them. A couple of times I've stumbled upon frost blades only to have them disappear in front of me. Again, I think this is because of the lower base damage.

They are ment to be that rare. When the update came everyone thought they could get rid of there myth stuff.
Is was the idea to make them so rare it's almost impossible to get a piece

Making it to 23-24 I usually get 1-2 a run.
earliest was either 17 or 19 in a chest but it sucked.

edit: trans items in general not frosts havnt seen any yet.

Dosent matter for either. I've done it on easy in someone elses game (no DLC) and i get the ice swords/snowball guns etc.
All that matters is beating the map once, any difficulty/place/time

Getting to W30 misty nets me an average of 5 trans weapons (maybe 5-6 armour). Most of those are utter rubbish (either low ups/rubbish base damage/tiny size). I have yet to see a good myth frost blade, let alone a trans one

I have not beat Etherian Holiday Extravaganza on any difficulty but I find frost blades all the time on Spooktacular & Morraggo. I've found some on OMF, Misty and UMF but not as common. Far as I knew you need to own the Holiday map to get holiday drops.
