Series EV Health scaling intented to be better than ranger?

My Series EV with the same hero stats has more health but I guess to make up for that does less damage; however, this is without a secondary gun equipped so could close that gap.
is this intended? EV + Uber dps gun and portal gun is win on repairing all over.

Hero HP on both = 2012
Hero DPS on both = 1579

Did some tests:

RANGER
Health Tavern 23109
DPS no bird 1,531,800
DPS Bird 2.072,911

SERIES EV
Healtth Tavern 26468
DPS no beam 1,348,440

On a side not I want to buy a 26+ ups BLUE on both the gun tip and base portal gun. I will give 4 token for one. Has to be 26+ ups and Both color on it blue.

It said in the digest/sneak preview that is exactly the intension of the Series EV. Slightly better hp scaling for slightly worse dps compared to huntress.

Well all things considered I think ranger and huntress just lost jobs to EV. I mean these tests were without a secondary gun for EV equipped. So that secondary gun could just be a pure hero dps and health weap and u use same retribution ranger would use. So u close to ranger dps and have more hp with the option on later wave survivals of using 2 portal guns to repair everything in and out of sight!

Or you could turn that 2nd slot into a stack stick since the stats on the alternate non-active weapon still apply to your total stats. So you could have 1 main DPS weapon and then a weapon that is nothing but stats since the DPS on it doesnt matter.

The fact you can use the portal gun alone makes the EV potentially amazing in the right builds.
