Hello,

I bought this game a couple of days ago. Checked if my laptop could run it through the link you provided on the FAQ page. And as I expected it could run it perfectly. So I bought the game, and it worked just fine. Until I wanted to go back to the tavern. The game just froze and a error appeared; ''Dundef.exe has stopped working''. First I thought it was just a one time error. Then it started to happen almost everytime I either wanted to start a mission/challenge or go back to tavern/main menu/restart level.

So I checked if there where any out of date drivers which may be the cause of this problem. Found out that my graphic driver was out of date. So I installed the newer version of my graphics driver. As far as I know that only made it worse. The game crashes more frequently then before, now it happens in the middle of a game, which didn't happen before.

Now that the game crashes in the middle of a game, it is starting to get really really annoying. I just don't get it since my PC is far beyond the recommended specs for this game.

A list of things I've tried already:

- Re install Dungeon Defenders
- Validate files through Steam
- Upgrade drivers
- Play on all settings that are possible
- Set core affinity on 2 instead of 8 (read that this might work... it does NOT!)
- Temperature is normal

Here a dxdiag of my system. If you need more information or have a fix for this incredibly annoying problem, PLEASE let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Update: I re-installed an older driver, and this works as far as i know. Havent had any problems for a couple of hours now. I hope it stays like this, if not I'll be back!

Same problem , did you see how many threads similar to yours are around? it's ridiculous , even i made one and no one can get a decent answer , just copy-pasta from the FAQ (useless , obviously.)

Yeah I've seen the number of threads and read alot of them. But it is a truly weird error. And I wonder if they can fix it through a patch. Since the problems are around since the launch and so many people are complaining about this. But still keep posting about it with additional ifnormation, and hope the devs can fix it.

Anyway, since I went back to an older driver version, my game doesnt crash that often anymore. But it keeps crashing occasionally on hitting the return to tavern/main menu/restart level, or when starting a mission or returning to the game after alt+tab. But it doesnt seem to happen in the middle of a game anymore, which makes me at least being able to play the game. It is still annoying because at one point you have to go back to the tavern or proceed to the next level. And everytime it may crash.. Very annoying for example during the Assault challenges when doing them all in a row. If it crashes, you have to start all over again to get the rainbow pony and the 1 million mana :(

Update: Since my computer got kinda slow, i decided to re-install windows. in the back of my head, I also hoped this would solve the random crashes of Dungeon Defenders. And so far it works, UNTILL I decided to launch Windows Media Player during the game. When I did that, it crashed... Maybe this is something you want to look into. I think that Dungeon Defenders doesnt cooperate well with other programs, and thats why it crashes. Otherwise, I havent seen one single crash since I re-installed Windows.

Hope this helps!
