Building? Sure. To wave 9 maybe.
You're better off doing Uber Monster Fest. Those stats will clear it easily, and progress you to 1200s

Oh really? Which monster fest? Isn't two of them?

The one that is frostdale is uber monster fest.
Hollow lifestream is the other monster fest that takes place in the tree of life

I just did Hollow Lifestream.... I failed.. miserably... lol. I was only able to do one wave. Perhaps I did it the wrong place? I turtled in the waterfall place.

I would do frostdale UMF and camp in the corner like everyone else. :^) You're almost guarenteed a victory every time.

I'm using a squire and my stats are similar to yours (a bit lower than yours actually)
I can solo misty nm hc (not survival) up to queen with ease, using a genie for the first 3 waves and an huntress guardian after that (app guardian would probably be even better but i happen to only have a 20 boost one compared to a 40 boost huntress one which turns out better for me :)
have beaten queen like half an hour ago so I don't know about survival, but if it's not harder than the regular waves at the start, you should get to at least wave 12 very easily

I would say you can get to the last wave of nm hc misty campaign. From there, you can upgrade your items for sure. s for survival, if you are doing it solo, you are probably not going to be able to beat wave 12 with those stats.

Yes NM, that way you can upgrade your armor/weapons.

I can't get past 10 on survival 1-9 is a piece of cake though. The gap between 9 and 10 is freakin insane. I had nearly 8 ogres out at one time and 4 of those were on mny north while the others were on my east. SOOOO much >.>

My gear is about the same as the OP (around 1100 tower attack give or take, depending on pet). After finally killing the queen last week, I did some research into some of the builds here by experts before starting my foray into survival. Remember that these are generally high-level builds designed to get you to 25+ (or whatever the target is) given that you have good enough gear. In my relatively crappy gear, I kept getting smoked by the wave 10/11/12 ogres too. My advice is to use a standard misty-campaign-minus-queen-with-lane-delayer (I used darkness + gas in lanes) to give yourself more time to handle the ogres. I had 2-3 ballistas dedicated per lane for this. Also, you can rebuild for more internal spider defence on build13 - the spider rush at the end of wave 13 surprised (and almost killed) me. I suspect this is the reason for all the heavy internal traps/auras that the 25+ wave builds use - I had just used bouncers and barely scraped through 13.

Basically, using a wave 25+ build won't be much use if you can't get through the earlier gear checks. Slowing down the lanes to handle ogres, and rebuilding on wave 13+ will make survival take a lot longer and require more work, but that's simply the price of doing business if you want to do it in lower gear. I am assuming/hoping that I'll see gear upgrades in the 13+ level since I didn't see any up to 13. I was playing on non-HC, non-mixed though.

My questions - what wave is the next big gear check and what form is that check? Also, should I be "gearing up" in HC with mixed mode on for better loot, or is it more difficult than the risk for loot farming?

HC for sure. Imo it really isn't that much harder, but you have to play more cautious. HC MM is the best. I'm not sure on the loot bumps, but I would guess around every 5 waves. Sense that is when the shop changes, then I would assume gear would as well.

Playing HC survival is pretty much a requirement to get anywhere. It's atleast a 2 wave difference in gear, probably more. Mix mode is such a step up in difficulty that its only worth doing once you can finish wave 30. You still get all those ogres, and having to deal with wave 20+ ninjas fairly early is a right pain.

And the next problem you will face will be the ogres having so much hp, that you just cant kill them fast enough to deal with them one at a time. Will happen ~16-17, probably. Hunt/app guard comboing is helpful here.

Then it's wave 20, with a dramatic speed boost to all mobs. Not to mention that archers get to 100k hp about that point.
