Hello Everybody , So this is the Apprentice/ Monk build i use for Night Mare Misty Mire. With the lack of Apprentice guides out at the moment and the dawning of the next shard map coming soon i thought i would post this guide. I decided to record one of the many pug groups in which i set up and completed through NM Misty. Stats are shown in the videos, but i will post that information in this thread as well. This build will work for Hard Core mode too. It is just a matter of ensuring everyone has good resistances :) and your tank having a nice health pool * this build should work with lower apprentice tower stats but will take a little longer and may require more team work. This fight lasted approximately 20 minutes The guide is almost done , just need to add the build pics for faster reference and screens of my stats that are in the video.*
Do not feel obligated to build in the order being described, just be efficient. Enjoy !!! :)

Part 1 The Build
(Later I *will be adding screen shots of *tower placement for quicker reference)

Step 1: Build Walls
Collect mana by opening chests and speaking to the mushi guys and setting up walls. Wall apprentice/adept is optional. If you do not have a designated wall builder set up the walls with your tower builder however, your walls may require a little more attention during the boss fight. The path I take to collect mana from chests and mushi guys, and set up walls seems to be the most efficient; at least for me it is :) by all means if you have a better route use it.

Wall Setting Tips (Applies to all maps)

Use the terrain/map to your advantage, to maximize DU usage. I cannot stress this enough. I have seen a lot of builds with four or five walls per lane when they only require 2 ,1 or at max 3. Using more DU than you have to is a waste and quite silly. You can also angle/slant your walls if you need to block a longer stretch. The terrain of maps have objects like rocks, walls with jagged edges or strange openings , trees, wheel barrels, crates, barrels, etc. After gaining more experience in maps you will be able to spot these obstacles and use them to your advantage more frequently. Gaps between blocks are your friends too. If you can’t walk through the walls neither will the mobs but be sure to test both sides of the walls. Mobs may phase through the walls but not because of wall placement unless of course you didn’t test your gaps and they are too large.

Step 2: Build Offensive and Support Towers/Auras

* Genie is a must* By now you should have collected all the mana and set up all your primary walls for each lane’s defenses. Next start building your towers, do not forget to switch to your tower builder if you have a wall builder out. I set up a lightning tower in the middle and fireball towers on each side of the lightning tower for each lane as a start, with the exception of the east crystal in which the fire ball towers are lined up vertically. Also be sure to build the anti air Magic Missile towers at the south and east crystals but they are not necessary on the first wave. This should be completed a little after the start of the 1st wave (wave 5) :) Once i have the essential offensive towers set up i add an additional fire ball tower behind the towers to assist the lightning tower with spider protection and additional offensive support. Be sure to set up an additional Magic Missile tower near the east crystal pointing towards the stairs leading down from the upper center crystal to east crystal. I set it up near the wall to LOS the spiders. The Fire ball towers and Lightning Tower protect it fairly well. Some may disagree but none the less it works. By the 2nd wave( wave 6) you should be able to set up your auras in front of the primary defensive walls. , you should have enough time to switch back to your tower builder once the auras are in place and begin to set up the Magic Missile towers on the stairs leading from the upper center crystal to the center crystal for spider protection and the initial Boss Offensive Towers and Boss Walls. Set up two blocks to form a wall blocking the entrance to the west lane. Behind the wall place 2 magic missiles but apart from each other and ensure the range of each tower touches. Then place a fireball tower in the middle which will provide good spider protection during the Boss Fight. I then set up two more blocks enclosing the area where the Boss appears. Remember to place a block at the top of the stairs leading from the upper center crystal to center crystal. This is done last in the video which was an error on my part. The final boss set up just requires you to remove the two anti air Magic Missile towers and the support fireball tower from the southern lane. Then set it up behind the bare Boss Wall like the other boss wall or similar. *some people use a fire trap instead of the additional fire ball tower. Its up to you :). You and your team of however many should get all Defense Units to 3 stars.

* if you feel you do not need the boss walls and can use the DU better then do so, i set up boss walls as a precaution. Periodically She will Berserk/Enrage and push your walls back and eventually hit harder and if the tank dies she will go straight for your lane defenses and if she manages to destroy defenses for a lane then you are pretty much done. The blocks will keep her occupied for a short while so you can rebuild.

Tower Setting Tips (Applies to all maps)
This is very basic :) You want ensure that when positioning/rotating the range of your towers you are able to cover each other to provide better spider/mob protection. In this case we have a lightning tower in the middle and 2 fireballs on the side. The fireball towers range should be able to cover each other and the lightning in the middle. You need to make sure you place your towers far enough away from the primary walls to miss ogre bashes. The towers need to be as far away from each other, but still able to shoot down the lane unobstructed and accurately to avoid ogre spit splash damage. This will add longevity to your Towers Health.

Reasoning Behind the Madness
There is reasoning to why i set things up in the order i do. Now it is just habit but when i started with not so great gear and was very slow and had a horrible casting rate i had to build in this order to survive the initial waves. So i build in stages, which is what i learned progressing through the Nightmare Campaign. As a beginner or after a couple Endless Hardcore rounds you can attempt the build and should make it to the boss but not beat her until you farm for better gear.

Part 2 The Kill

THE KILL
As demonstrated in the video remove the Anti Air defenses since there are no birds during the Boss Wave, usually i would do this around 2,500 mob count but i didn't do that in the video :( Set up two MM towers and an FB tower behind the bare boss wall and upgrade to 3 stars.
For this team the barbarian had a huntress guard, and the squire had an app guard in which they pretty much both buffed some of the Boss DPS towers for the entire fight while i repaired the 4 lanes and dumped mana near the tank usually each time i passed by the tank. The squire would repair the damages to the Boss Walls and Boss dps Towers.
Barb tanks are really good as their turtle stance negates the effect of webbing and siphon stance which allows the regeneration of health, duh ! right? lol. This was not Hardcore so getting killed was not an issue , but had it been hardcore we would have been dead meat.
* A tip from the tank in the video is to pop turtle stance when you fall at or below 75 percent then pop siphon stance to regen health. Rinse and Repeat.
