Question about Speed Stat

I am level 74, Ranger. I have 887 speed. I figured that'd be pretty fast, but when I was just in a game with a level 73 Huntress, with 137 speed, she ran MUCH faster than me. Why might this be? It mystified us both and I would like to know what's going on. I'd like to be going as fast as I should be. Is it that when you get your speed up to a certain point, the stat actually works against you? That seems... depressing.

100 speed is max, you can check it, just respec stats and put all points into speed

Yes, I know that 100 is the max you can raise it to without items. WITH items though, I have 887. No joke. And this other person has 137. So why is she FASTER than me? That's the question.

Actually there are some speed multiplier value on each hero as I see. Because if you compare same speed between squire and countess the countess can run faster. Try that on longer map and you will see, but in shorter map almost the same...
I never tried between Ranger and Huntress.

hunt is about 13% faster than ranger

Max speed is 100 and there is a cap on this 100. even 887 is lika a 100
