I've been having a bunch of trouble with my copy of the DDDK (Dungeon Defenders Development Kit). Mainly, it persistently crashes after compiling the shaders for either 'UI_equipmenticon' or 'character_MAT.'
I've re-downloaded the files, but nothing changed. If anything, it got slower... and then crashed. I tried to verify the files, but Steam didn't find anything wrong. I've been working on this for a while now, but nothing seems to work.

(There. That's much nicer)

I'm pretty sure there's an obvious solution that I'm missing.

That is way too small to read, maybe use http://imgur.com/ to host the picture.

Try to delete these files ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\Engine\Shaders\* ) and then verify steam cache integrity -- did that help? Anyone else get this problem?

All--
I did what Jeremy said, but this time it still gives me the above error or none at all...

UPDATE: I have lost all hope. I found that it is actually a DirectX issue, not the program. It pretends that it requires DirectX 9... I run DirectX 11. Can I make it so that it runs 11 and not 9? I'm not going to mess with it otherwise.
