Hello everyone :), as the title says!
I hosted a game, and invited my friend, he said that he could not click the "Play Online" session,
but he is not disconnected in anyways, what is wrong? Can anyone help me troubleshoot?
Thank you in advance! :)

If he's playing through Steam, chances are Steam was down. To verify this, open up the main Steam window and check at the bottom (between "ADD A GAME..." and "VIEW FRIENDS") to see if it says "NO CONNECTION".

or he´s banned
If he were banned he should still be able to get to Open. Either way, unless Steam/Trendy Net was down he should have been able to at least click the Online button.

This... happens to me all the time when steam disconnects. (as stated, open friends list, if its no connection have to wait till it comes back up). It will grey out the online button till steam reconnects.

If you get VAC banned you probably can't get to Steam Open play. I think you have to run DunDefConfig.exe in the c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\Dungeon Defenders\Binaries folder and set the game to play in GameSpy then play there if you were banned in either Steam Ranked or Steam Open play. Steam Open play is subject to VAC protection just like Steam Ranked play and you can get VAC banned for hacking in Steam Open play. There's all sorts of legal cheating you can do in Steam Open play because you can create and use custom maps, but hacking programs are still bannable.

If you check your steam profile, it will be simple to see if you're VAC banned or not, as it shows up there, and it also shows up in Steam preferences.
Normally Play Online only gets grayed out when you get disconnected from Steam while already online.
