I was wondering if it would be possible to add some form of temporary save state for when Steam goes down. Like pausing the game and not allowing it to unpause until connection can be reestablished. Or booting you out, but offering you the chance to rejoin your previous game at the previous point... or something besides "connection lost, your progress is deleted."
With all of the steam maintenance and hotfix patches, I have had multiple multi-hour survival games wiped out. Is there any way something could be done about this happening? Because man, is it frustrating. Happened to me twice in two days now (This time because steam jumped the gun by an hour on their announced maintenance time).
Don't mean this to be a gripe thread, we've all had it happen. Just wondering what the plausibility of a solution would be.
