They can't spawn or upgrade to more than 5 defense affected. If you mod them there, it works, however.

Oh, don't worry, I used DDDK to test it. Not gonna bother hacking ranked if I can do what I want in open with no repurcussions.

5 is the limit, no bugs / exceptions (like for projectiles on the nosferatu or the north pole)

Also, from personal expierence, i once had a guy join one of my ranked games with a hacked guardian with +80 to towers boosted, this is the most gamebreaking thing ever. Even if you legally mod this in open, it will screw game balance over in a major way.

Some time ago I was hosting a survival game and opened to public. I asked everyone who joined to equip a guardian. There was one guy he said he only had a very bad guardian. I said ok just use it. And when I looked at his guardian, :0, it supports 10 towers.

The community is in a mess. I can see cheater or ppl with hacked items join my game quite often. I tried to tell them initially they were using hacked items. Sooner or later I found at least 50% were wearing something hacked, then I told myself don't bother...

Are you serious? You can get pets with over +40 boost, I got mine from the tavern after a ES NM HC run, it had 69 boost.. and it didn't matter because the game caps the effect to 40.

He is talking about the number of towers boosted, not the strength of the boost (chevrons are the strength). The cap now for towers boosted is 5; although If I remember right I thought the very first guardians when the game launched could boost 20 towers, although those are bound to be almost out of existence now or very bad despite the number of towers boosted, I could be off on that tho.

No... they were bound to 1 tower only. Never more then 5.
