View Full Version : I see alot of AFK shops getting hosed still...
I will keep this short and to the direct point. i have posted on this before and it got closed for flaming so I report here and hope this just gets seen by shop owners.
Items that you sell in your afk shop that are 148m or higher are NOT BLOCKED from being bought by players when you are at or near 2billion mana. You can either not leave your shop AFK or never price above 147m because of this. I see alot of shops leaving and selling nice loot only to come back and be at 2b and have lost 50 items with dozens of those being sold at 2b.
This is a super easy bug to confirm and I would think easy to fix.
PLEASE TRENDY EXTEND THE PROTECTION FOR SHOPS TO ITEMS FROM 148m to 200m. THANKS

Are items less than 148 mil blocked?
Yes items at 147m or less are blocked from purchase. Im sure they are working on fixing the 148m to 200m bug.

True...Needs to fixed.
And losing items in trades also needs to be fixed, no point is having a trade system where every trade you make is risky, coz you can pretty much end up by losing items, on both sides...dumb bugs/glitches.

Yup... sad thing is... can't think of a reason not to store the mana bank in a 64 bit unsigned integer (values from 0 to 18,446,744,073,709,551,615). Mana cap doesn't make much sense.

That being said is sad indeed! Worst part is - even if they force us to cap banked mana at 200m and overall cap at 2b, plus we have restrictions on AFK Shop price at 200m as well, which leaves us with only 1 option: Trade. Now there's always a risk of losing items due to the trade glitch, so that basically means: don't trade items, don't sell items just enojoy the 200m cap and have a hard time upgrading weapons/etc.
Really if any mod/dev is reading this, please for the love of god at least fix the AFK Shop over-sell bug and Trade Bug, please :(...

Which excludes more people from playing than you might think (especially for the operating system. There are a LOT of people with 64-bit capable CPUs but have a 32-bit OS installed).
The value at which this problem manifests seems to be very random, so I will wager they are at least aware of it. I can't really say anything else because I don't have the answer.

This.
And correct me if im wrong, but i was under the impression its impossible to use unsigned integers for anything above (and including) operating system level.

Sorry but both of you are very wrong. 64bit values are very common and unsigned integers are used all the time in almost every language.

Sorry, but we're not wrong.
Yes, there are Doubles, but those are not commonly used, require more memory that might not be available under consoles and are more difficult to use and take more CPU cycles to process. Such variables are not used unless absolutely necessary or unless it is 64-bit software.
An unsigned integer is common yes, but would not provide enough breathing room to be effective. Lots of people are at the cap, and changing it from signed to unsigned would only briefly delay the inevitable.
There is no need for a 64-bit CPU to handle 64 bit variables. Any Double can be handled by a 32-bit processor.
And btw, the very very minimun CPU requeriment for this game is already a 64-bit capable processor.
