Boredom struck me and I was wondering around the DD wikia and watched the Hero trailers. The Squire Hero trailer interested me the most mainly because it was posted on youtube on August 23, 2011 and it shows use Mistymire Forest and Spiders, but that wasn't released til November. So they been having this stuff done, guess they just like to keep things aside. So that could mean they are making stuff for like this next Holiday season already while just wondering around the office and just tweaking numbers to try and balance things out for the maps lol. Food for thought and boredom ofcourse haha.

(well-made) Maps take a long time to develop. They didn't just finish it months in advance and hold off on releasing it. The terrain and art can be done long before the level is playable and ready, but would be good enough to make a backdrop for a video or cutscene.

I know this, that's why I said the map was done, never said it was playable. And the map is technically held aside til they are done making it playable. I program games myself, so I know how it is.

So basically, if you wanted me to clarify, they could possible be making the maps for future Holiday content already, not making them playable.

I noticed it while watching the Quest trailer. They showed the 4-5 new maps that are coming along with some gameplay movie (well, game scenes). I like the place where the grown up heroes are. I wonder if they're trapped or if they'll help us fight...

The opening credits show the mines from assault map 3. And I guess that's been in the game since it launched...

If you've completed it, you'd notice that it is the map used as a backdrop for the title screen / menus. When you reach the back part, that's the area where the crystal is on the title screen.

in the barb trailer there also is one of the next eternia shards map
