View Full Version : PC: DPS build for Apprentice

So first post, bear with me as I am noob.

So I just hit lvl 74 on my first build, an apprentice in which I tried to be heavy on the tower stats. Unfortunately during most of my leveling I didn't realize the insanity of playing Nightmare. So I left my poor little apprentice with almost no hp stats and resistances. I've since upped the resistances but he's a 1 hit kill for an ogre.

So I want to do a DPS/ tank apprentice for my second build through. I know a squire would be best but I like the range and damage some staffs can get to. I also really like the apprentice class as a whole and it is what I try to use in any fantasy type game.

So I am wondering, what's the best approach to this?

I was thinking of going high on HP, low on cast speed, a little hero speed and high on hero damage. For tower stats I wasn't going to touch anything but the health since I am not concerned about the attacking towers, just the magic blockers that take away element affinity for monsters.

Sounds like a good plan or any suggestions? Again I know it's no squire or huntress but I like the class and am committed to it.

Thanks for any input!

PS - does armor not upgrade past a certain % of resistances? My Myth set wouldn't let
Me upgrade past 30% on any piece.

PS PS: the goal would be a 'tank' apprentice that would build the blockers for my towers built by my tower only apprentice. I'd swap accordingly between rounds when I get the DPS one to a high level
