I noticed not many people do PvP so I thought I'd try something.
I will host a PvP match up every night around 1am EST, unless something pulls me away from doing so but I doubt it. These matches will be JUST FOR FUN, but if some people want to play to win, I can set up matches that you should have NO GEAR EQUIPPED to make everything even with everyone. I don't know what the room name should be called yet, but it'll have PvP and No hacks in the name for right now. If a lot of people start wanting to play, I can set up certain nights for competitive and some for just for fun. That's just my idea for right now. I will be starting it tonight so if anyone is interested, please feel free to join. Any suggestions are welcome as well.

A no item game would be fun. Only able to use the stats from being lv 74 for diversity. Sadly, 1am is a little late for me ;). Good idea tho

hm do the pvp maps record "completion" when you finish?
By the way, pvp maps have monsters in them (mostly to provide a mana supply), so it is inadvisiable to go with no gear. Do the

Ya, midnight or 1am would be the only times I could do it because my work schedule is so crazy.

Yes they record completion when you finish. Whether if you win or not I don't know. And for the no gear thing, we can just put it on easy.

Well first night and on a short notice I think it went well. Had a few people pop in and eventually pop out, but had at most 4 people playing for a descent amount of time, 5/6 for like a minute lol. Low levels are so funny. Anyways, I enjoyed myself and whomever showed up it was fun. Hopefully we can get some more people going next time.

I wanted to join in but was occupied. Caught snake at the end of it all and he owned me in some 1v1 ( I was mostly busy trying to type to him asking him how to play and what his rules were, halfway through I Guesstimated that enemy teams cant talk to eachother [I was right]). CTF is a not and shouldnt be called capture the flag. You arent capturing it, you're holding it, there is one flag for everyone. Nonetheless its a good mode, and I think there should be some rules like everyone should come with 90% resists all no more no less, or completely naked (not as much fun imo) but lots of times gear will always determine these games. Look at the pvp forums and jeremy mentions stuff like working more on pvp early 2012 with included rewards for being the winning team. Whether or not they follow through, I dont know.
Cool idea and props for trying to get the community and even successfully doing so snake. Hopefully next time I'll be there from the start.

The CTF map definately has no npcs. "Completion" occured for me even when I lost. Who cares though. In response to "Do the", It does.

yeah, I played CTF once. Lifestream Hollow and Hall of Heroes PvP both have an endless stream of enemies, strength varying with the difficulty level.

Their's 2 Flag modes, Capturing and Holding. We did the holding one lol. That's why you were confused haha.

Gear I don't think effects to much it looks like. Me and a friend were both Barb's and his health and hero damage was double mine(probably more) and yet I killed him most of the time. PvP has always been about strategy and timing. In most games gear mattered, but this one it doesn't look like it to much. Just need the basic resists and a descent base damage on your weapon and your good to go.
PVP is fairly pointless because of the hackers. No point tangoing with a 10 shot a second 800100 dmg blasticus. AT least this has been my experience so far.

I've kept the hackers away so far. And will instant boot any of them. Didn't have any on the first night.
And my PvP room is up, so if anyone wants to join. Hoping to get at least 4 people total before I start.
