Hey guys. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes a general question:
I've noticed that after setting up some towers and switching to a different hero the towers' damage drops about 25-30%. I don't remember this being that way before, since I did level a couple heroes by using a stronger one's towers. Am I missing something, was this always like that? Isn't the whole premise of the game that you can combine defenses from different heroes and play with whichever you want?...

If you leave the builder out you get a 33% boost, otherwise the towers do 100% damage

Hey, hi! I think it's usually been the case that when you switch from your higher tower based character to your lower one, there is a dip in their damage and stats. I agree your last point. There should be something done about it.
And I'm really confused about this issue myself, so I usually don't pay much attention to it ^^ You'll have to rely on someone more knowledgeable than me to clear your doubts regarding this issue, might help me as well :) !!!

Thanks for the quick response guys. Knox, does that 33% boost have to do with equipping matching armor? I just recently noticed this happening. Even when summoning towers with a 6x level hero and then switching to a 7x level one the damage is lowered.

While I'm not Knox, the boost is character-related.

The easiest example I can give you is this:

Let's say you build something with Character A. That tower / trap does 133 damage.
You switch to Character B. Now the tower / trap does 100 damage.
If you switch to A again, it changes back to 133.

Regardless of level and gear, this boost is applied to the character that made the tower / trap.

Perfect example.
Basically it depends on your "current" character stats with which you are playing, if it has more or less same stats on both the change would go un-noticed. if there's huge difference, then you can make it out!
Also note that MONK AURAS are unaffected by this thing. so basically if you make auras with your monk and switch to, let's say your squire then the monk auras wouldn't be affected by it!
And also in-game gear changes would affect your towers alike. Say if you equip a gear with let's assume 50 more tower HP than your current gear, and you equip it while still in combat phase/build phase, you'll see that all your towers built by that hero would be affected, and you'll have to go repair each one of them coz now they have more HP !!!

The 33% tower damage boost have nothing to do with matching armors.
And Black Mamba is wrong, tower stats of the new hero do not affect in any way the towers created by another hero.

If you put a tower that has 20k HP and 10k damage per shot, once you remove the builder it will still have 20k HP but only 7,5k damage (33% of 7,5k = 2,5k).
