Question on stat max

I've noticed that in the patch notes the maximum allowed stats are 70, now about a month ago I read some "guides" from other sites that pointed that the max allowed for one stat is 50. Has it always been 70 on the console version?

On that same guide it had said the speed hero point max was 20, but considering what I now see about max regular stats, what is the maximum hero points allowed in speed?

it's always been 70 for consoles, not to sound hasty but this question is asked a lot, how come you can't just put as many points as can into one skill to find out (that's how i figured it out), unless you not a level 70, then i understand. there is a certain point your character stops moving faster I think 60, but i could be wrong.

I tend to do my reasearching at work (great use of my time I know...), took the guide at face value when I read it ran with it, saw something different today so I was looking for confirmation. Still wondering what the speed Max is though, although I will experiment tonight as putting 20 points in my huntress already makes me clumsy and prone to fall in pits.

Recently level 70, starting to get into finding good weapons for challenges and such.

Also I did check 3 pages back on the forum, didn't find anything concrete. Sorry about the noobiness, thanks for the reply though.

Edit: Reading comprehension fail... I didn't know the system would just stop taking points into a skill, I was afraid to as I thought anything past 50 was a waste and the system would just let you keep going but only count so much :)

I believe that they are making it 120 in the patch now, but I could be wrong. I believe they are also raising the level cap to 78.
Edit: Everything I said is true, except that they are keeping the speed stat point thing cap at 70 instead of 120 :)

you would be correct, you will be able to apply 120 points to a single skill exept run speed.

Also, just of note, if you're unhappy with the way you're stats are spread out you can always just respect your stats via the tavern shop for 100k mana. I often will respect for various challenges or a giraffe run.
