Best DPS Ranger Pet?

Just got my Ranger to 74, haven't really done much with him since, but what should I do familiar/petwise? Some people say you want a pet doin additional damage, some people will say fairies for health (even though I'm not close reange DPSing), and some will say genies too. I haven't really done anything on NM so i'm not really experienced with spiders, but they say you want a genie for you stealth. Opinions?

NM fairies are pretty useless
What I do: genie until i max upgraded all defence units, then switch to app guardian (survival)
campaign: genie until i upped everything enough, then app guardian

he asked for dps pets not the way u are playin. since the last patch dps pets get new attention

I would recommend getting either Laser Robot, Animus, and some other normal pet attacks.
I prefer ranged pets but, its up to you.

Tip: Laser Robots are really effective in NM due to piercing and how it is affected by hero damage.
