Ways to get gear for MM survival?

I'm a little stuck.

Farmed MM campaign HC till I got a semi-decent tower set (and tower hp set), and can easily solo up to the end of wave 12. So I thought I'd try survival...

I've tried 3 times now, with 2 different builds, and wave 10 gets me every time (not even close to being able to do). I use a genie up until the number of ogres goes through the roof (wave 9?), so all the defs were starred, then switched to a 40+ boost app guardian for ogre control. It just dosent seem to cut it with 18 Ogres bearing down.

So is there an easier survival that I can do to improve my current gear (stats below)?

And have his towers and walls lose 30% across the board from the swap out. I don't recommend that.

NM Uber Lifestream Hollow / or / NM HC MM SV Spires maybe.

I don't know how relevant this is anymore with all the changes, but ideas.

With those stats NM Uber Lifestream Hollow would only work until around wave 2 solo (3 on a good day, but you probably would be missing loot and that's kind of the whole point). Any form of survival spires is also going to be a ****-fest solo after wave 10ish. The positioning of the top crystal means that someone is essentially required to be up there guardian buffing and doing minor repairs throughout the match. Unless someone knows of a better wyvern control strategy than I do, you're going to have to deal with them personally during the late phase wyvern rushes. Once again, completely do-able with 2-3 people, but nearly impossible solo.

Does Mix Mode effect loot quality. Last I heard it didn't.

I would give NM HC Throne Room a go. It's easy to solo as all the defenses are close together, so you'll be able to reach later waves that drop higher quality loot. I've soloed to 15+ and the only reason I stopped was time issues.
