View Full Version : Strange Item Bonus Glitch

As I was upgrading my mythical boots, I was trying to get rid of the -20 in the hero casting time. I did so, and when I got to 0, I stopped and went to see if I had any better boots before I went on. I go back to the boots, and I notice that the Hero Casting Rate is gone completely. I then tried to equal out a negative value on another type of armor, and the bonus disappeared again. I came to the conclusion that if a value is at 0, it immediately considers it as being one not added to the item, and therefore removes it from the stats after closing out of the item window.
Hopefully this can be fixed in some way in a future patch, if it becomes a problem. :O

I thought it went from -1 to 1?

It's always been like that. Instead of going to 0, take it to 1 before closing the window if you want to continue upgrading that stat.

How exactly is that a "solution" or even close to one? Say someone who reaches that point of upgrading where his/her stat is at 0, and has, say "not enough" mana left for the next upgrade? Is there any other way to avoid this issue, lol?!
This has happened with me on more than one occasions so I know how annoying it is :/ Specially on Huntress Weapons more precisely "reload" stat :skeleton:

how bout just keep it at -1? then when u have enough mana for two upgrades then upgrade to 1?

While yes, that works, it's still not a solution to the problem at hand. If an item had a negative stat that was then equalized back to 0, the game should not count that stat as not on the item at all when the window closes. It should count the piece of equipment as still being able to boost that stat, but with the bonus set to 0, instead of removing it from the weapon completely.
same problem here, I was upgrading -15 fire resistance, stopped at 0, returned later to do next upgrades, and noticed there is no fire resistance.
I've paid 200kk for these gloves, and now they are useless, thx Trendy.

Glad I read this, wouldn't have known otherwise. It's probably something that should be changed. Being able to up a stat shouldn't be time sensitive like that.

Indeed, and people replying with suggestions such as: Don't upgrade upto -1 or whatever, really, I mean really, how does that help >_< ???
TE should really check into this issue, it's not something critical but it makes no sense losing your stats just coz of a stupid code ._. !!!
