Hey guys,

i've been playing inane survival past couple of days, and I died pretty much all the times because a Dark Elf Warrior jumps over my defences and kills it from behind. Now I'm looking for a good way to get rid of them.
My heroes aren't very goot yet. I've got all 4 characters tower based, and a DPS huntress. The tower characters all got about 200 points in tower damage, and 125-150 in the other 3 stats. the DPS huntress got 250 in damage, and 150 in other 3. (just estimated)

I died in wave 21 of magus quarters insane survival (not HC or MM) with this setup:

NOTE: there are 4 MM near the FB towers, but it didn't fit in the picture.

So.. I don't know if you need all that info I told, but my main question is: how do you kill the DEWs when you play insane survival

Slow Auras inhibit the height and distance a DEW can jump, so putting them overlapping with your barricades + towers tends to prevent them from jumping over your defenses long enough to get killed by your towers. Your setup seems to have them a fair distance away from your defenses, so maybe try moving them closer?

I can't move them closer, Or they will overlap the crystal :P

I'll just try it with some proxy mines, would that help? Or put more MM on the place where the northern one is?

put the equipmet of your monk in the item box.
place the auras closer.
reequip the monk.
enjoy.

Or just use the + and - keys to resize your auras.

DEW will run straight through slow auras/traps when they are doing their sprint. They can only be affected by towers when they come out of sprint.

I would do what they said above and move your slows right on top of the walls so they have to break sprint when they hit the wall and get caught.

We used something like this, only went to wave 15 for pet then quit but had no issues and could have continued. I can't remember the exact build, saved at home. http://html5.cubicleninja.com/dd/index.htm?layout=16466

This build looks to be for a NM setup. The OP is only playing insane.

Either move you auras in or your walls out, or take the DEWs on in mortal kombat. I'm kidding but, if you time their jump right, back away and when they land, just pew pew them as much as you can.

Here try this one for insane..

Just have someone with an App or Huntress guardian stand by whatever section has an Ogre (they die quickly when you do) and the rest of the time it can be almost AFK'd.

DEWs slam into the walls at the junctions and are then snared/killed by towers, Wyverns are snared and slaughtered easily by the electric aura + FB towers and if angled right (and with enough range) the two dedicated wyvern towers help out to the left or right sides as needed when there are no wyverns about. (the wyvern snare + electric auras also hit lots of mobs headed to the sides as they path under the side walkways.)

Or just use the + and - keys to resize your auras.

You wont get the same result. If you unequip and reequip they'll be at their max size at the start, which is an advantage.

HS.. I don't know if you need all that info I told, but my main question is: how do you kill the DEWs when you play insane survival

The DEWs want to be in melee range of the characters. If you turtle up around the crystal and hide inside, they'll hop right in the middle. With multiple characters, you get more DEWs and if you all hide in the middle, all of the DEWs converge on the same location. Very difficult to deal with.

I build at the chokepoints instead of around the crystal and I move around to each, repairing and upgrading as needed. The DEWs hop around after me - some into the lava and others getting beaten down by towers along the way. With multiple characters running around, individual characters rarely face significant numbers of DEWs, so they don't become a problem. Relocate your monks and guardian-using characters as needed to enhance high-volume areas and deal with ogres.
