Hehe, well, after tonight I found myself wishing that the G keys on my G510 were placed differently. but, since they are in groups of six, they can emulate the WSAD/arrow keys plus a couple of key combo macros within easy reach.

After a bit more testing if you activate Hawk Stance the moment your 4th swing hits it is a significant dps boost. Before I was doing 7m, but with proper timing it's nearly 10m.

Upcomming patch notes mention an auto attack that will even use the finisher when it can comming up.

The 22m is with hero boost and it's pure burst damage, not sustained. If barbs could sustain 22m dps they'd be horribly broken. The 10m is pure burst also. Normal dps is 2.3-2.6m, much less than what an equally geared hunter does.

That burst is 1.3-3.6m damage in a single combo in NM.

That is true, however after using Hawk you cannot dps in any form for 1 second followed by another 3 seconds before you can use Hawk again. My personal opinion is to up the damage on Hawk, remove the 1 second no action period, and bump the CD up from 3 second to 5. While it does increase the burst it doesn't leave you 1 second of no dps and the 2 second longer CD balances this out. This gives barbs competitive DPS, not just flashy burst damage.

I still wonder if it will be better to use very fast weapons that can get off combos quicker or the slower weapons that can get a much higher damage rating.

I tested with two Katanas and two slow weapons. The slows were ahead. And since Hawk Strike scales with your weapon damage, no reason to use fast ones.

I haven't tried hammers yet but I'd imagine they'd be too slow. My 10m burst requires extremely precise timing with slow swords as it already is.

I'm sure he legitimately bought his hacked gear but I've seen wave 30 Nightmare HC drops and they're not good enough to get stats like that.

I see so many people saying, "No, my stuff is legit. I bought it from another player." Yea... Because that means it's not hacked...

Truth is that if you buy ANY gear, it's more likely to be hacked than not.

But please don't let me turn this into a hackers witch-hunt thread...

The Barbarian sucks because he's too much of a mana-*****. Stances should be free for christ sake. Atleast free to maintain ONE. Spamming your other skills is plenty of mana to be a drain. I'm hoping they'll rework him but, at the moment, I feel like I wish I'd saved my money.

I defer to my previous post. I'm sure he's been looked into already and found to have legit gear. While it is very uncommon to see gear drop with all high end stats, RNG still permits it to happen.

Edit: In the hammers scenario with them being too slow to make the timing fit, would it be viable to use tornado for the first 4 swings then turn it off for the finisher + hawk stance? I haven't played with tornado enough to know the cooldown on it.

I know the micro management would be terribly annoying, and would most likely require automation, but still curious.

I haven't used hammers as I have no high base and high^ ones to test, but I think with Tornado lowering your effective dps and being primarily a movement tool I wouldn't expect them to be that amazing. Plus Hawk already uses 120 mana as it is, Torando would be a bigger drain on your pool.
