Steam special gifts? Unable to get them on steam

Hello!

I pre-ordered the game as far back as in 2010, october 2010 I belive sicne the game was set for release inn nov10.
Anyways I havent had time after the relesae in 2011 to acctually play and DL the game untill now that my exams are over. I logged into steam and entered the code, and enjoyed the game, its awsome! :)

But I'm wondering why I didnt recive any pre-order items(not sure, but I belive it was said so when I preordered) or the steam gifts(i.e. pyro pet)? A friend of mine bhought the game off steam today and he recived some gifts under the tree inn his tavern, I was unable to find any at all. So I'm wondering what I should do, or probaly just wanting to get a conformation that I'm mistaken and that there is no preorder/steam gifts for my account for X reason :)

So you pre-ordered it on Steam or somewhere else? I ask as I don't understand this part: "I logged into steam and entered the code, and enjoyed the game, its awsome!" . Where did you get a code?

my steam tf pets come just after installation and first online game was in tavern. if you refer to mana under tree you need to finish all campaign mission first. anyway tf pets are crap and 30 mil mana is enough to pimp your gear till you can farm any nm map. yesterday i got to lvl 16mystmire in surv hc ... along with total 290 00 00 00 mana droped just in 2 hours game.

When you prepurchased you got it from.a site other then steam. All orders include a steam key. You can get your pet once you complete all maps and open the secret room. You will NOT get the TF2 Preorder bonus as you didn't get it through steam.
